Molly's Story
"I started The Amy Kuneman Foundation in memory of my mom, Amy, to turn the loss of someone I loved so much into something that could help others.
My mom was one of the kindest and most caring people I knew. She was a loving mother who always put others first, and she worked hard to pursue her dream of going to law school. When she passed away from a pulmonary embolism in December 2023, my family and I were left with many questions about blood clots and Factor V Leiden.
I created this Foundation to honor my mom and to help others learn about a condition my family did not know enough about. Through raising awareness, providing education, and fundraising, I hope we can help people recognize the risks and warning signs of blood clots and potentially save lives.
To me, this Foundation is a way to keep my mom’s memory alive and ensure that her story continues to make a difference."
